I applied to Marquette as a student. How do I set up password recovery?
Marquette University sends a CheckMarq welcome message via email to student applicants at their supplied personal email address. Make sure you have that email handy and follow these setup instructions.
When I use the password recovery website, I received this error: "We could not verify your account."
The "We could not verify your account" error means that there is not a phone number or alternate email address registered for your account. Please contact the IT Services TechSquad at (414) 288-7799 for password assistance.
When do I need to use recovery methods to reset my password?
Once you have registered a phone number or alternate email address, you can reset your forgotten password without needing to call the IT Services TechSquad. Just follow the reset instructions. You can also unlock your account if it's temporarily locked due to multiple failed password attempts. If you know your password, there are other ways to change your password.
I work for Marquette, but I don't have a mobile phone.
If you don't have a mobile phone, a faculty or staff member can use an alternate email address for password recovery. Or you can enter the phone number of a physically secured office phone as the authentication phone, then use the call option to recover a forgotten password.
