About Rave Alert
What's Rave Alert?
Rave Alert sends text messages, emails, and phone calls for urgent alerts. Students, faculty, staff, and parents/guardians can receive the alerts. Also, students can register to receive text messages when catered food is available from campus events (MarqEats). Rave Alert also offers the EagleEye mobile app — for iOS and Android.
Using Rave Alert
- Students use CheckMarq to opt in or out of Rave Alert text messages.
- Faculty and staff supply their mobile number in MyJob (PDF) to receive texts. If a user texts STOP in reply to a Rave text, the user no longer receives texts on that mobile phone.
- Parents and guardians can access a short code via the Family Safety Texts website to receive safety and weather text messages.
- Limited departments can request user access to send via Rave Alert.
- Marquette University Police Department
- Office of University Relations
- IT Services
- Division of Belonging and Student Affairs (MarqEats)
- Marquette Dining Services (MarqEats)
Troubleshooting Missed Text Messages
- Rave Alert relies on student mobile numbers in CheckMarq and employee mobile numbers in MyJob. Confirm your mobile number is accurate in CheckMarq or MyJob.
- For students, access CheckMarq to confirm you opted in to receive Safety and Weather Alerts.
- If your CheckMarq or MyJob setup is accurate, report an issue.
