Installing Student_PrintWise for Windows

Students: Use the instructions below to install the Student PrintWise driver on your Windows laptop or desktop.

Reminder! You might not need to install a driver to print. See Easiest way to print: PrintWise@marquette.edu to learn more.

Windows: Installing PrintWise for Students

IMPORTANT: You must use MU Secure Wi-Fi or VPN to complete these steps.

Go to your Windows settings and select Bluetooth & devices from the column on the left side of the window.
On the resulting page, select Printers and scanners.
At the top of this page, select Add device.
A drop down will appear. Scroll to the very bottom and select Add a new device manually.
Choose the option Add a printer using IP address or hostname and then select the Next button in the bottom-right corner.
In the Device Type drop down, select IPP Device. Then, in the text box below type v-uflrpprd1 and then select the Next button in the bottom-right corner.
On the resulting page, select Print a test page.
A window pops-up asking for you to enter your credentials. Enter your Marquette Username and Marquette Password (NOT your Marquette Email) and then select the "Remember my credentials" checkbox.
Upon successfully entering your credentials, the pop-up closes and shows a print queue behind it. If the print job Test Page shows as Printed, then the driver has been successfully installed.
Lastly, download the Printer App Installer.
Go to your downloads folder and double click on windows-printer-app-installer.zip and then extract the contents.
Double click Printer App Installer in the window that opens after extracting.
In the resulting window, select Install to install the app.

You will now see Student PrintWise as an option when printing. Remember to tap your Marquette ID at any of the PrintWise printers on campus to see and print your document.
